Are you looking to wake up and head down to the lake for your morning coffee, listening to the loons sing? Follow it up with an afternoon boat ride to the ever-popular Fort Irwin Marina for some groceries and fishing supplies. Then Haliburton Lake is the one for you. Situated west of the southern portion of Algonquin Park, between Percy Lake to the east, and Redstone Lake to the west. It offers a wide variety of wildlife including ducks, mallards, herons, turtles, and frogs, as well as a large population of loons. Boat launching sites are located at Fort Irwin Bridge and also another one is located at a public beach near Fort Irwin. Haliburton Lake is roughly a 3-hour drive from the GTA.
